Animations
Some sample stop motion animations, which may be useful for making teaching points and for inspiration! The first two are a 'good' animation and a 'bad ' animation - the latter showing lots of errors. How many can you spot?
Themed animations
The three animations below have a Christmas theme and show some of the characteristics of good quality animations.
- They contain convincing details to add to the 'reality' of the scene, e.g. watch the snowman's scarf in the first video, 'A Snowman Makes a Friend';
- The story has a witty twist and/or includes something that would be difficult to do in a live action piece, e.g. flying;
- Music and sound effects emphasise key moments and effects.
Animations with a Myths and Legends Theme
Note: the first one is a bit gruesome at the end - not for the fainthearted!
... and finally, a favourite video, which tells a perennial story and nearly won a prize at young people's animation competition. The animation of the elephant rolling away is particularly good!
